Duke star and recent No. 3 overall selection Cameron Boozer was in action again Thursday night, facing off against the Atlanta Hawks and one of his college rivals, former North Carolina center Henri Veesaar.
Boozer and the Grizzlies were nothing short of dominant, leading from start to finish. In fact, Memphis outscored Atlanta 32-2 in the first quarter alone. Yes, you read that right. Boozer finished his night with 24 points in 29 minutes on an efficient 10-for-13 shooting night to go along with seven rebounds, three assists and one steal while also holding Veesaar to just five points.
Having defeated Caleb Wilson and the Chicago Bullsearlier this summer, Boozer is now 2-0 against his former UNC rivals in Las Vegas. More importantly, Memphis' 32-point victory helped them advance to the 2026 NBA Summer League semifinals Saturday, as their point differential of +11.5 was the highest of all 3-1 teams. The Grizzlies will face the Houston Rockets, led by second-round standout Bruce Thornton.
