Has anyone been watching this guy get completely embarrassed today?

Reggie Wayne has completely undressed him on 2 or 3 plays today.

Do we really want to pursue this guy? I sure don't.

Reggie Wayne has been playing in the slot a lot. Is that something new? I know they got Gonzalez to replace Stokley there, is this a game plan thing or a Wayne is better in the slot thing?

The way he's played today has given me serious doubts about him. I saw some pretty impressive play from him around mid season and he was looking really good at one point. Today he looks like a total chump. Needless to say, I have lost a lot of confidence in him. I know it's against the Colts, but still.. this is the playoffs and when they need him to step up, he's choking big time.

We need another CB so bad, however this is the 3rd straight Charger game I have watched and he gets burned at least one time a game. Florence did have a nice pick in the playoffs to end the game last week so give him some credit.

I would like to go with Marcus Trufant first if I had a choice and that is due to speed and hips and due to the fact the Cards would never go after Samuels.. Trufant's hips move quicker with the WR and he has some nice closing speed.

1 Asante Samuels Not going to happen due to $$$
2 Marcus Trufant Good hips and decent speed / Also division opponent
3 Randall Gay good speed and cover skills. Might not be best for a #1 CB
4 Domonique Foxworth. Good speed, but out of position a lot
5 Drayton Florence

Wyane was the #1 receiver (yards) in the league. Over 1500 yards. That being said, don't like this CB.

Trufant will probably be available as SEA will probably go w/ Jennings & Wilson next year but Trufant had a great year and if I not mistaken is going to the Pro Bowl I heard so he won't come cheap. With all that said sign me up for a Trufant/Suggs/Faneca free agency with a Jonathan Stewart draft and I'm a happy camper.

A free agency like that along with keeping Dansby would certainly make drafting a RB much more practicle. I'm in.

That would be a dream offseason.

Trufant/Suggs/Faneca in free agency

Re-sign Karlos Dansby

Re-work Larry Fitzgerald deal 8-9 Million a year saving about 8-9 million off 08 cap

Re-sign Calvin Pace

Re-work Bertrand Berry deal

Then in the draft go BPA .....

Personally, I am on the Micheal "Burner" Turner bandwagon and Faneca. Flozell Adams is also a FA this offseason. Adams would be a nice concellation prize if the Cardinals decide not to go after Faneca. Both Faneca & Adams are going to demand a high salary. The Cardinals O-Line needs one of those two very badly.

I say cut Berry & Okeafor. Both of them are past their prime and don't porduce for what they are getting paid.

As often as I can this season, I've been watching Turner to see what kind of runner he is.
I haven't come away wowed this year.

I'm still thrilled for my boy Sproles though.

Really like Sproles and wished the Cards would have picked him up before the 5th rd. Incredible speed and low to the ground threat that can take it to the house at any point. When does he become a free agents and who n the draft s like a Sproles ?? Any thoughts on Chris Johnson from East Carolina ...

I am glad somebody else wants a #1 CB. I would release Berry and draft a younger player to replace him.

It isnt not a matter of not wanting a #1 CB. It is a matter of the Cards will not sign a #1 CB to the contract they will get in the open market.

The sad thing is, if we had a team and GM aggressive enough to try, we have all the space and leverage to do just that, or at least try to. The sad thing is that our Front Office has set us up to expect so little in FA that people like Arizona's Finest find this a humorous impossibility, when it should be a real possibility.

Trufant/Suggs/Faneca would cost about 24 mil towards the cap; we don't have room for that. Not to mention that when Q and AW come calling for theirs next offseason we'd have to part ways with them in '09.

First, if Seattle is stupid enough to let Trufant go, we must bring him in. He should become priority #1 in that case. If not, I wouldn't mind Florence, he's still an upgrade.

I'm going to say it right now: If we re-sign Dansby, I don't really want Suggs. I do not believe we should tie up that much money in one unit. If we can make it work, I'd be okay with it, but I don't really want him.

I do not want Faneca. I'm sick of us overpaying for other teams' used parts after they've received all the mileage they can squeeze from them. If we want to be a contender, I think Faneca is the type of free agent we need to avoid, unless he came cheap, which he almost certainly won't. I'd rather sign a lineman who's similar to Roderick Hood, a player with talent, upside and not much age or mileage from another team's use.

By the same token, I want those free agents to be players we need. I like Michael Turner, but we have already paid Edge, and we do not need to attract a back. We can draft one, but signing one is a bad idea.

We must lock up Dansby and Fitz. After that, I want to either go defense or grab one of the strong backs with our first pick and do the opposite or take an offensive lineman in round two.

Actually, as long as we're smart, and as long as we re-structure Fitz, we'd probably be able to handle that. And we'd be able to handle it without messing up our cap for next year and the years after. Joe, am I correct?

Finally, AGAIN, what is the hate on Faneca? He isn't overly old although he is not young, but he continues to be a pro bowler, showing no signs of letting up. So why do people continue to complain that he's over the hill and finished? Makes absolutely no sense to me. Like when Ted Washington was too old and washed up for us to sign...and he went on to have a few more dominant years. Yeah, Faneca's done all right. Suuuuure.
