SIOUX CITY, IOWA (KELO) — The Dordt women claimed a win Monday, while Dakota State and Dakota Wesleyan suffered loss in the NAIA Semifinals.

Dordt will now play Marian in the NAIA Championship on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

The Defenders are back in the National Championship game, following an 83-69 victory over Dakota State. Dordt jumped out to a 14 point lead after the first quarter.

Gracie Schoonhoven posted a game high 34 points, while Macie Sievers added 24. Dakota State was led by Tabor Teel who scored 16 points.

The second semifinal saw Marian (Indiana) defeat Dakota Wesleyan 62-54. Marian had a fast start, leading 15-6 after the first quarter and 28-17 at halftime.

Marian had two players score in double figures, led by Abbey McNally with 16 points. Avery Broughton and Rylee Rosenquist posted ten points each in the loss.
