After some back-and-forth, it appears that Daniel Peretz is making the permanent move to Southampton after spending the second half of the season in England.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg says that the deal is done:

EXCL | Daniel Peretz to Southampton – DONE DEAL ✔️

Full agreements reached on a permanent transfer, including with FC Bayern. Transfer fee around €7.5-8m. #SaintsFC

Only small details remain to be clarified. Announcement soon. One of the key reasons behind the move is Peretz’s excellent relationship with head coach Tonda Eckert. @SkySportDE

The transfer fee will be disappointing to some fans, but Bayern Munich did not have much maneuverability as it also still needs to sell Alexander Nübel as well. For now, this would represent one of the names that Max Eberl can cross off of his list (not the same kind of list as Arya Stark) so that he can — allegedly — keep his job.
