President Donald Trump will present the trophy to the winners of the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on July 19, according to a report by ESPN.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed that the trophy will be jointly presented to the captain of the winning team by himself and Trump, the report said.

“We will be together with the president (Trump) enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course, together,” Infantino told “Fox & Friends.” “We are together all the time.”

At the last two World Cups, Infantino presented the trophy.

The president was allowed to present the FIFA Club World Cup to Chelsea captain Reece James after the team’s victory over Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey last summer.

However, Trump did not leave the stage, remaining on it to take part in the team’s celebration with “bemused” players, according to the ESPN report.

The World Cup final is scheduled for 3 p.m. on July 19 at the stadium, which is the home of the New York Jets and New York Giants.

Three matches have been held there since the tournament began, with the latest having taken place on Monday when Norway defeated Senegal 3-2 on a rain-soaked field.
