The Miami Dolphins selected 13 players over the three days and seven rounds of the 2026 NFL draft, but the three players taken in the first two rounds (Kadyn Proctor, Chris Johnson and Jacob Rodriguez) have gotten most of the attention.

However, there are other rookies who could contribute quite a bit in their first year in the NFL, including tight end Will Kacmarek, who Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox recently labeled as a rookie who is overlooked entering training camp.

Kacmarek, 23, played at Ohio for three years before finishing with two years at Ohio State. In 53 games between the two schools, he caught 59 passes for 713 yards and four touchdowns. He also won a national championship in his first year with the Buckeyes.

Heading into his rookie campaign, Kacamarek is expected to use his blocking prowess to push free agent addition Ben Sims for the second spot on the tight end depth chart behind Greg Dulcich, who the team brought back this offseason on a one-year deal.

If Kacmarek can show any promise as a pass catcher, he'll pass Sims on the depth chart and could even battle Dulcich at some point during his rookie season if things go well enough.
