John Harbaugh is a hot candidate, and while every team with an opening may not covet the former Ravens head coach, it would be 'Shocking' if he were shut out of this hiring cycle. The teams to watch are the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins, and after hiring a GM, they're now interested in meeting with the former Ravens coach.

On Thursday morning, after taking part in the GM search, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was fired.

After narrowing down the field of candidates, Miami has decided on Packers VP of Player Personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan as their general manager. Jon-Eric Sullivan is the son of Jerry Sullivan, the longtime NFL and college coach who retired in 2021 after more than 40 years in coaching. The elder Sullivan was the Dolphins' wide receivers coach in 2004.

Sullivan has been in Green Bay since 2003, starting as a scouting intern. He has served as the Packers' vice president of player personnel since 2022, working closely with GM Brian Gutekunst. With that news, it sounded more like a candidate with ties to Green Bay could get the job. Among the potential Dolphins coaching candidates with ties to Jon-Eric Sullivan in Green Bay are Mike McCarthy, Jeff Hafley, and Adam Stenavich. But on Saturday, Adam Schefter reported that Miami has reached out.

On the day the Dolphins finalized an agreement with GM Jon-Eric Sullivan, they finally reached out to John Harbaugh and let it be known that they, too, are in interested in him, per sources. So add Miami to the list of teams that would like to meet with Harbaugh.

Harbaugh (18th season) is the NFL's second-longest-tenured head coach (Mike Tomlin - 19), with his 193 total wins tying Chuck Knox for the 12th most by a HC in NFL history. Baltimore was 0-4 this season in games decided by 5 points or fewer, and overall, under Harbaugh, the Ravens are 45-61 in such games since 2008.
