On Wednesday afternoon, the Detroit Lions announced that a third player has been added to its NFI list.

Third-year lineman Giovanni Manu has been placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list. Manu joins defensive back Christian Izien, who is on the Active/Non-Football Illness list, and offensive guard Christian Mahogany, who was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.

Manu, a 2024 fourth-round NFL draft pick, logged 69 offensive snaps last season, per Pro Football Focus. The 6-foot-7, 345-pounder started for the Lions at left tackle in Week 5 of last season at the Cincinnati Bengals. Manu has appeared in four NFL games thus far.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell shared an update on Izien and Mahogany on Wednesday morning, indicating that it's not expected be long-term absences for either.

"Izzy just had a little flu bug. We're going to make sure he's good to go, hopefully by Friday we get him in practice here. Mahogany needs a couple of days and then he'll be ready," Campbell said.
