I'd much rather have him then Bethea. We'd also get something back if he left.

Someone else will sign him. He's not an aging back or some obscure player that catches Keim's eye, Meanwhile Seattle trades for Richardson, as if their defense couldn't get any stronger.

Ward signed with TB this morning, one year @ $5M. Jason Light, GM. Let me ask the board this: which team is a better team right now, the Cardinals or the Bucs? It's the Bucs.

Paper tigers until they prove it. 40-7 just last year says Cards are the better team. This year's game might be a different story. We'll see!

Based on what? Paper... speculation, you might be right, but we'll have to wait until the games are played to be sure.

Ward obviously went for the money. It seems as though players are more interested in getting paid than winning a championship. As for who's better between the Cards and Bucs, the Bucs offense is average at best. As inconsistent as our offense was last season, we were still 9 spots better in all aspects last season and let's not forget we kicked them all over the field last year and that was before getting spanked by Buffalo and then losing to the Rams.

$5M for Ward is a steal by the Bucs. The Bucs have more talent now than the Cardinals on both sides of the ball. They made good progress last year and are on the verge of breaking though as one of the top 5 teams in the NFC. Their division is the toughest in the NFL, so that's a challenge. Jameis Winston is on the rise and their defense should be fast and hungry.

Glad this didn't happen.

I would not have thought it myself, but Bethea ends the year with 5 INTs, and Ward with 0 INTs and an arrest.

Some players are who they are not matter how much "promise" they have. Ward sure has a lot of people that think he is a good player, I just have never seen it, except for a very few examples over his career.

He is kind of like Sheldon Richardson, the DT, the Seahawks picked up. There was a reason the Jets didn't want him anymore, and for all the hype, he did just as much in Seattle as in NY.

lol only let the NFL guys do it huh?
NFL'ers especially, due to the beatings their bodies go through day in and day out. The pain killers they're taking, probably in exuberant amounts, only makes their bodies worse. Several reports have come out that over 50% of players smoke, or take edibles, because they don't want to take pills. Supposedly the issue is up for review...the NFLPA is pushing for it.

Not in Colorado anymore! They need to let these NFL guys smoke weed already...
Age of consent in OH is 16 (he was a Brown), would you be fine with him having sex with a 16yr old in FL where consent is 18?

Completely unrelated.
No, follow the laws of the state you're in and avoid trouble. If he wanted to smoke pot, there are plenty of places where he can w/o breaking the law. Just because its legal in CO and you disagree with the law, its no reason to break the law in FL.

So if this was the headline....

S T.J. Ward was arrested today on charges of sex with a 16yr old minor, per online records. Ward was released from jail this morning after posting $2,500 bond.

would this have been your response........

Not in OH anymore! They need to let these NFL guys bang 16yr olds already...

Equating smoking pot with "banging" a 16-year old? F'n crazy.

I am sure you are an upright citizen that has NEVER, EVER gone over the speed limit, even by a mile, or made an unsafe lane change, or failed to use a blinker.
