One week before the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos announced that Super Bowl 50 champion T.J. Ward will help introduce the Broncos' Day 2 pick(s) in the draft next week.
Ward appeared in a social media post from the team, confirming the announcement. "Yo, yo, what's good," said Ward. "It's T.J. Ward, aka Boss Ward 43, aka Super Bowl 50 champ. I will be in Pittsburgh for the 2026 NFL draft, announcing the Broncos' second day picks. Let me tell you something, I cannot wait till this draft. I cannot wait to see the Broncos fans and I cannot wait to see what players are joining Broncos Country."

Ward is just the latest in a string of Broncos alumni who have announced picks at the NFL draft. One of the more memorable player picks came in 2024, when former tight end Tony Scheffler announced a pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Scheffler's appearance on stage could be remembered for any number of things: his outfit, the player who was selected, or Scheffler's amazing delivery.
It remains to be seen if Ward can match the level of energy Scheffler brought to the stage. At time of publication, Ward is slated to announce only one pick on Day 2, which comes at 62nd overall. However, Denver is known to wheel and deal on draft day, which could result in more picks on Friday.
Ward was a member of Denver's "No Fly Zone" defense, which led the Broncos to a title in 2015. In Super Bowl 50, Ward picked off a Cam Newton pass, and recovered the fumble that set up CJ Anderson's game-sealing touchdown run.
The NFL draft will take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh. Day 2 (Rounds 2-3) is set for April 24.
