Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz

While things aren't going well for the Boston Red Sox in the majors right now, there was something positive down in the minors this week.

Red Sox legend David Ortiz's son, D'Angelo Ortiz, is a member of the organization right now down with Class-A Salem. The 21-year-old has had a solid season so far and actually blasted his first professional homer on Wednesday.

That leg kick looks familiar!

If you need a feel-good story right now, that's a perfect one. He's down in Class-A right now and in his second professional season and is slashing .250/.346/.326 with a .672 OPS, one homer, 17 RBIs, five stolen bases, five doubles, and one triple in 39 games played.

It's been a tough season for the Red Sox this year so far. Any time we can talk about something positive about the organization, we're going to take it. This is one of the brightest spots for the club in at least a few weeks, to say the least.
