Depends

People tear meniscus all the time-- with some people, that tear is in a bad spot and large

Often it's a result of repeated tears

So we'll see and hope for the best

possibly, but wouldn't that be more frequent with nba players and the vertical impact vs a running back?

Not even close. You are talking worse case scenario along with a very unique circumstance. Not saying there is possibility of being down for a bit, but there are a lot of unknown and to worry about micro fracture at this point is the same as worrying about how you are going to spend your Power Ball jackpot

Eric Bledsoe tore his meniscus in 2011 and had it fully removed. Last year he tore his other one and had it repaired. Repairing it is better for your knee and joint long term but the recovery time from surgery is longer.

No one is really going to know what is going on util Monday night.

Sucks, but he looked pretty darn good for a guy that just had his knee bent like that. Thank goodness for his youth and strength.

Still a horrific looking situation, and a perfect nightmare situation to end a nightmare of a season.

Hope he heals well, and feels better soon.

Honestly, I think this is part of the reason his knee is not completely blown out.

Do your squats kids!

Adrian came back from torn meniscus earlier this season.

Well, he'll have surgery(if possible) more than likely wednesday or thursday and he'll have 7 months to recover. Like has been said, sucks that he got hurt but it's good to know he has a while to heal up.

He'll be back for OTAs. That looked horrible on the field and am so glad DJ will be ok.

if he is not seriously injured that is great news. obviously need to wait for the more permanent prognosis. every knee injury is different. it looked awful. he definitely deserves more respect around the league for the season that he had.

Not even remotely 7 months. Same thing Adrian Patterson had but less damage. Peterson was carried off and never returned.

He looked very chipper when he returned to the sidelines. Which gives me hope it's not something awful.

Not very happy he was even in there in such a nothing game. Their hands down mvp this year. Shut him down. No need to risk him here. They apparently lucked out somewhat, but stupid decision to play him in this one game.

Probably worst thing I've read all day. If that's the case, why play him the past 2-3 weeks when we were out of playoff contention. Should every team not in playoffs not play their stars? People pay money to see David Johnson. Not Kerwynn Williams. Injuries are part of the game, and you play every game to win. Worst post of 2017.

This is crazy Monday morning talk. I've been concerned with injuries just based on his workload, but sitting him is silly.

DJ wanted to play...he wanted to continue his streak of having 100 yards from scrimmage for the entire season. Arians granted him his wish...he just had a freak accident. It happens in football.
