Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts delivered good news on star infielder Mookie Betts.
Roberts said that Betts is "symptom-free" regarding his injured right oblique.

Mookie Betts Feels Good About Where He's at
Betts suffered the injury on Saturday in their contest against the Washington Nationals. The 32-year-old superstar had an MRI on his back that revealed the oblique strain. The club believed that he suffered the injury on a checked swing.
“It was a perfectly normal day, so that’s why I don’t know where it came from, or how it happened,” Betts said. “I prepared. I’ve been doing it right, and I’ll give myself credit, I’ve been doing it right. So I don’t know where it came from other than just God sending a message.”
After the diagnosis, the Dodgers placed Betts on the 10-day injured list. In a corresponding move, L.A. recalled infielder Hyeseong Kim from Triple-A Oklahoma City to take his spot on the active roster.
Betts said on Monday that he is in a good spot.
“Just as fast as possible,” Betts said. “But obviously, I know I need to be smart with obliques. They can kind of linger around, so be smart about it. But I’m not trying to take my time or anything, I want to play.”
"I'm light years ahead of where I thought I was going to be," Betts continued, "so we're in a good spot."
Betts is one of the few players now on the IL, including fellow star, southpaw pitcher Blake Snell.
In 28 at-bats this season, the former MVP is off to a slow start, slashing .179/.281/.429 with a .710 OPS, along with two home runs and seven RBIs.
The Dodgers are off to a hot start, sitting with the best record in baseball at 9-3.
Los Angeles is set to start a three-game homestand with the Texas Rangers. Dodgers right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow is set to start the series on the mound.
