Dave Portnoy has urged Caitlin Clark to ‘start your own league’ after her latest WNBA controversy.
The Indiana Fever star picked up her eighth technical foul of the season, which now leaves her facing a suspension.
That incident came during a win over the Chicago Sky, where Clark was penalised after making contact with an official.

Portnoy posted on social media: ‘Hey @CaitlinClark22 just go start your own league already. Sick league @CathyEngelbert.’
His comments quickly gained traction.
Fans largely agreed with the sentiment, with many suggesting Clark has outgrown her current situation.
One supporter wrote: ‘Right! I didn’t understand clinging to something that despises you… Leave, and the people will follow.’
Another added: ‘DO IT FOR THE PEOPLE.’
A third commented: ‘The league needs her more than she needs them… She’s bringing in fans and money.’

Meanwhile, Clark’s situation on the court remains under the spotlight.
The technical foul came after she collided with a referee, although she insisted it was not intentional.
Speaking after the game, Clark said: ‘She said I ran into her… it wasn’t intentional or anything, so I’m hoping it’s getting rescinded.’
That decision now carries real consequences.
If the call stands, Clark will miss the Fever’s next game against the New York Liberty.
Despite the controversy, her performance itself was strong.
Clark finished with 26 points and 11 assists in the win, underlining her importance to the team.
