PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks continued to reshape their organizational depth Monday, trading right-handed pitcher Taylor Rashi to the Minnesota Twins.

According to Arizona Central’s Nick Piecoro, Rashi will be sent to the Twins for cash considerations after recently being designated for assignment last week. The reliever now gets a fresh start in another organization, while Arizona doesn’t lose him for nothing in return.

Though he never emerged as one of Arizona’s top prospects, Rashi provided valuable depth during his time with the club. He made his MLB debut last August, helping bolster a bullpen that was dealing with several injuries.

Players like Rashi often operate outside the spotlight, but he played an important role in becoming one of 17 relievers to record a save for the Diamondbacks in 2025. Ultimately, Rashi was left off the 2026 roster amid inconsistent performances.

Rashi ends his tenure in Arizona with a 5.40 ERA through 20.0 innings and a 1.40 WHIP.

However, his Triple-A Reno numbers have shown more promise, with a 1.03 ERA through 26.1 innings and a 0.99 WHIP.

The move is another reminder of the constant roster shakeup that defines a contending club trying to stay competitive over a long season.

While names on the back end of the bullpen may change, the D-Backs’ approach remains the same: maximize flexibility, maintain depth, and keep pushing for production wherever it can be found.
