Budda couldn’t find a trade for himself three years ago; why would a meaningful trade market appear now?

The team never told Budda to find a trade. The Cardinals stance from day one when Monti took over was that Budda was an integral part of the team and they had zero interest in trading him.

Being that we're in the ultra-competitive NFC West, in what universe can we win ten games next season?

Reasonably healthy, maybe the defense will be good enough to win ten. To steal a division win or two at home. Maybe. We better upgrade the ILB group though.

But on offense? I'm not sure it's possible to make the 2026 group a ten win unit.

I love Jacobi's big heart, truly. God bless him. He's earned every penny we've paid him and I want him as QB2 for 2026. But, he's not going to QB the 2026 Arizona Cardinals to ten wins. Not facing NFC west defenses six times next year. No way.

And unless we pay a steep price to trade up, I don't see us upgrading the QB1 position from a sheer talent perspective.

So we're screwed for 2026 at QB1, which pretty much dooms the season from the jump considering our OL and RB rooms are currently an absolute mess, and there's all kinds of uncertainty with the WR Group

I think it will take MO at least two years to fix the offense. Five year rebuild in progress!
Just when we come out of that two year offensive rebuild, we start our three year defensive rebuild.

I'm fairly certain he requested a trade, also thinking the Cardinals tried to be quiet about it & not comment.
Nah they posted it on their website. Thats how i confirmed id misremembered the timeline.

Cards didn’t give him permission to find a trade, though. They just took the last two years off his old contract and later extended him.

He's not the same player this year for sure.

I guess it depends on what you call meaningful. Do I think a team could offer a late round pick swap at the deadline in 2026 for Baker? Sure. Is that "meaningful"? That depends on how you are defining it.

Yeah that but what’s the point?

Getting something in a lost season for a player you are going to be cutting for cap relief in 6 months based on the scenario. *the mid 2026 trade)

I agree the potential compensation will be minimal.

Jacoby has been hilariously stroked by the local media and the KDS squad. He sucks by every advanced metric.

If Jacoby didn't turn the ball over constantly, take hilarious sacks, or after 6 seconds to throw while moving like molasses stuck in molasses, maybe they don't get so many offensive chances they score 45
You do realize that Jacoby is a derogative term? I can't believe this is allowed on the board.
