Hmmm, then maybe they will be well prepared to win the thing then if they play 10 games against superbowl contenders. Nothing betther than to play the best to lose the nerves.
Iron sharpens Iron... were we to make it to the playoffs healthy...we would be a very dangerous team.

all that said...yada yada yada.....

Although it depends on what people's expectations are I guess. I expect us to be interesting to watch and somewhat competitive, but still be in the toughest division in football and not have a franchise QB.

I see a 5 win season at best.

the NFL is volatile year to year.

I always view these things through the lens of "what would have to happen for the Cards to be playoff contenders" (and this means: in the discussion on playoffs in December. A pretty low bar these days):

JB has a 2022 Geno Smith-like surprise season at QB -OR-
Carson Beck has a Russ Wilson like rookie breakout season.

Jeremiyah Love is a OROY contender if not outright winner.

Cards have no worse than NFL average health.

Two NFC west rivals have injury experiences like the Cards had last year-- and that includes the starting QB.

Defense is not terrible -- middle third of the NFL.

so all of the above is possible individually, and each one if it happened wouldnt really be shocking.

ALL of them happening would be surprising.
