It isn’t fun to write the Flakes article on a Monday like this. Both the Husker softball and baseball seasons are over. The ladies made it to the Women’s College World Series but then uncharacteristically looked overwhelmed by the moment in a loss to Alabama. In the elimination game, Jordy had a no-hitter going but Texas hitters broke it up with two singles and then a big blast.

The baseball team hosted a regional that looked like a tough grouping going in, and it was. The Huskers saw their late game magic come up short as they dug holes too big to overcome. It was a great season for both teams and it was a fun ride while it lasted.

The softball team is going to look entirely diffferent next season with the large number of seniors that are graduating. Alexis Jensen looke like the next Husker ace, but will Rhonda Revelle find some additiona arms to take off some of the pressure?
