Sydney Sweeney has unexpectedly become part of an NFL storyline after two players publicly mentioned her in lighthearted interviews.

What began as a simple celebrity crush question has now turned into a running joke, which continues to circulate online.

Puka Nucua was the first to make headlines by openly expressing his interest.

Now, another young NFL star has stepped into the conversation. Cooper DeJean offered his own playful take when asked about his celebrity crush.

Cooper DeJean names Sydney Sweeney as his ‘1A’ celebrity crush​

DeJean was recently asked to name his celebrity crush and did not hesitate.

“Can I throw out a couple? Sydney Sweeney…” he said, before acknowledging that someone else had already made a move.

“But I don’t know, Puka’s already shot his shot with her… And Tate McRae,” DeJean added.

He then ranked them: “We’ll go Sydney Sweeney 1A, Tate McRae 1B.”

The tone was lighthearted, but the comment quickly caught attention online. DeJean leaned into the moment rather than avoiding it.

Nucua previously addressed his own attempt to connect with Sweeney and admitted it did not exactly go smoothly.

“No, not at all… my awareness skills were at 0 at that moment, [but] I don’t regret it at all,” he explained.

He also made it clear that he has no second thoughts. “I’d still love to go skydiving. I’m not gonna pass that opportunity up,” Nucua added.

“There’s only so many moments in life where you can actually feel something, and I know that comes in skydiving.”

His response was self-aware rather than embarrassed. Now, with DeJean joking about being next in line, the NFL’s latest celebrity storyline continues.
