It didn't take long for Conor McGregor to speak out on his UFC 329 injury, but it doesn't sound good.

Almost two hours after he suffered a fight-ending injury 69 seconds into his rematch vs. Max Holloway at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, McGregor posted a statement on social media that shed light on his physical and mental states.

"My head gasket is gone. Destroyed," McGregor wrote on X. "I had no injury / injuries going into the fight. I was throwing kicks, planted and jumping, all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight. This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell."

The exact extent of McGregor's knee injury is unknown, though UFC CEO Dana White said at a post-fight news conference that promotion doctors suspect a torn ACL. Several videos showed McGregor hobbling out of T-Mobile Arena without shirt or shoes, still in his fight gear, presumably to be transported to a hospital for further evaluation.
