Former two-division champion Conor McGregor made the walk to the octagon for the first time in five years on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. “Notorious” faced former featherweight champion and former BMF titleholder Max Holloway in a rematch in the UFC 329 main event.

The two first fought 13 years ago at UFC Fight Night 26 in Boston in a featherweight bout on the preliminary card. McGregor defeated “Blessed” via unanimous decision. It was the Irishman’s second octagon appearance.

The 37 year-old former two-division champion hadn’t competed in five years. He last fought in July 2021 at UFC 264 when he lost to Dustin Poirier after suffering a gruesome leg injury.

McGregor ran across the cage and threw a kick. He did it again and slapped. Holloway seized the moment and delivered a few punches before letting McGregor up. McGreglor slipped again. Hollway landed right hands standing over McGregor. Holloway let McGregor up. McGregor's leg is injured. McGregor looked to have blown out his knee in the first kick of the fight.

That's it. McGregor could not continue. The official time 1:09nof the stoppage was of the first round.
