The beauty of the NFL Draft, if you want to call it that, is that everyone has differing opinions on players, and for the Washington Commanders' draft haul, not everyone is on the same page.
Some like what general manager Adam Peters and Dan Quinn did, while others didn't, and when it comes to the seventh round, most are considered dart throws.
For the Commanders, in the seventh round of the draft, they selected running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt to add to what is a solid room.
Seen as a purely developmental type of player, Croskey-Merritt will look to hit the ground running in Washington as he tries to make the roster in his rookie campaign.
But for CBS Sports' Josh Edwards, he has named the Croskey-Merritt pick as Washington's most questionable pick.
"Washington took five players and each were taken in the expected range or later," Edwards wrote. "There is no issue with where Croskey-Merritt was taken either but he is an older running back prospect who was limited to one game played in 2024."

In his only healthy college season for New Mexico, Croskey-Merrit rushed for 1,190 yards and 17 touchdowns before an eligibility issue saw him play just one game in 2024.
So there's no injury or anything, and many think that the eligibility issue hindered his draft stock.
The Commanders took a chance on him, and he now comes to a room with Austin Ekeler, Brian Robinson Jr., Jeremy McNichols, and Chris Rodgriduez as he looks to pave a path forward.
Not everyone is on board with the selection, but we find it a little hard to gripe about a seventh round pick, when most teams are hoping the player will develop into something instead of knowing.
But that's what is good about the draft: There are a lot of unknowns about how a player will translate his form into the pros, and for Croskey-Merritt, it feels like he is already fighting against the tide.
