Prior to the Indianapolis Colts' first Week 16 practice, head coach Shane Steichen provided some injury updates on several players.
Quarterback Anthony Richardson will return to the practice field on Thursday. This opens a 21-day window for him to be added back to the 53-man roster.
Steichen already said, however, that Richardson will not be active for this week's game against San Francisco.

Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner will practice on Thursday. He returned to the practice field last week after missing four games on injured reserve with a neck injury. He did not play against Seattle.
Buckner recently discussed the injury that put him on injured reserve.
Not practicing on Thursday are cornerback Sauce Gardner and left tackle Bernhard Raimann, who exited the Seattle game with an elbow injury.
Steichen said it's too early to know who may or may not play this week.
Backup quarterback Riley Leonard, who was on the injury report last week but was active against Seattle, is clear of his knee injury, according to Jake Arthur.

Injury updates:
-Buckner will be practicing today. Sauce & Raimann will not, but Shane says the latter two are both progressing well. Still too early to know who might or might not play Sunday.
