I just got back from a Make-A-Wish Car Show tonight. Didn’t see the game and planned on watching it when I got home. Now I’ll just watch the recap or the condensed game. Should be a lot of action in those 9 minutes.

Lovullo at tonight's press conference: We lost to a highly talented, impressive Rockies team tonight. I'm proud of our team for keeping it close at the end. There's always tomorrow - at least until we're eliminated from playoff contention. Great effort by us - played a hard nine.

“It’s frustrating, but any game I’d feel the same way,” Lovullo said postgame. “I don’t want to discount what the Rockies are able to do. They’ve got some players that can bang the baseball, and you saw that today.”

Fact: Colorado is next to last in the NL in OPS (.652) despite playing their home games in Coors Field. Thier OPS on the road this season is .576, and they are batting .198 and averaging 2.5 runs in road games. They are now 3-21 away from Coors Field.

The most embarrassing loss in quite a few years for the DBacks - maybe most embarrassing ever - given the Rockies record coming into this series. If the DBacks lose the series today to a single-A (at best) team, it will certainly be the most embarrassing series loss in team history.

It just feels like every win is futile and every loss is extremely punitive in this division
