Tad Boyle and the Colorado Buffaloes added another player to their 2026-27 roster, bringing in three-star center Eric Jacobsen.
Jacobsen is from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and ranks as the No. 387 overall prospect, the No. 51 center and the No. 2 player from New Mexico.
At 6-foot-11, Jacobsen becomes the Buffs' tallest 2026 recruit, and continues the trend this offseason of Colorado adding size wherever they can. The Buffs struggled mightily on the glass last season and needed more athleticism in the frontcourt.
The Brewster Academy product held offers from New Mexico, UAB, New Hampshire and Binghampton in addition to Colorado.
Jacobsen joins a Colorado class of 2026 that is now four deep. Combo guard Rider Portela, power forward Goc Malual, and point guard Alex Dickeson make up the rest of the class that ranks No. 106 nationally and No. 12 in the Big 12 Conference.
With the addition of Jacobsen, Colorado has filled all 15 sports on its roster for the 2026-27 season.
