Colby Covington didn’t mince his words about his recent falling out with the told Helen Yee. “They were making some promises, and they weren’t fulfilling the promises. [Hunter Campbell] was kind of stringing me along. He was saying that we’re gonna have fights and we’re gonna do this and that, and I didn’t get a call back. I just don’t like how I’ve been ghosted. And it’s okay, that’s the way you’re going with your business, it’s your business. But I’m gonna go on with my business. I’m gonna live my life, I don’t wanna tell them what I can and cannot do. I’m an independent contractor, so treat me like an independent contractor, don’t treat me like an employee.”

While Covington hasn’t fought in the UFC since December 2024, “Chaos” has been active in wrestling under the RAF banner. Covington believes his participation in RAF is partly responsible for the falling out with the UFC. While Covington wants to compete in wrestling against fellow UFC fighters, the UFC is allegedly stopping its active fighters from competing against each other in wrestling.

“I want to wrestle all these guys – Khamzat, Arman, Usman. I want to wrestle all these guys that are active, that are high-level athletes like myself,” Covington said. “But they are not letting me. So it’s not fair. I want to earn money and put food on the table.”
