CM Punk Releases Statement After Loss To Mike Jackson At UFC 225

CM Punk’s UFC career is almost certainly over after he was pummeled for three rounds by Mike Jackson en route to a lopsided unanimous-decision loss at UFC 225 in the former’s hometown of Chicago. Punk’s striking looked pretty bad and his grappling didn’t present Jackson with much of a problem. After the event, UFC President Dana White applauded Punk’s effort but advised the former WWE Superstar move on to chase a different career. On Sunday night, Punk tweeted his first statement after the loss. That didn’t sound like a retirement from the sport, but it did have the tone of a person who realizes he may be at the end of a journey.
