The list of potential candidates also includes San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula, and Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

Nagy notably interviewed for head-coaching vacancies last year with the New York Jets and the New Orleans Saints. Those teams decided to go with Aaron Glenn and Kellen Moore, respectively.

The former NFL quarterback served as the head coach of the Chicago Bears for four seasons from 2018 to 2022.
