The Kansas City Chiefs recently announced their new Chiefs Cheerleaders team for the 2026 season. The squad will perform at every home game, which includes the preseason, regular season, and postseason.

Finalists auditioned in person at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium last weekend. The candidates had to be 18 to audition and had typically cheered or been on college dance teams. The roster of veterans and rookies has backgrounds in many diverse career fields while taking center stage as performers at Chiefs games.

Tryouts were not open to the public, but clips from a few dancers were posted to the team's social media accounts. Among the veterans selected to return is Sadie, who was selected as the team's representative for the 2026 Pro Bowl Games in San Francisco.

The Chiefs Cheerleaders were established in 1963, shortly after the team moved to Kansas City, and have a rich history, evolving into a high-energy, all-female dance and performance team. The squad was established early as the Chiefettes and has grown from traditional cheerleading to choreographed routines.
