OKC Thunder forward Chet Holmgren will not play in a home game against the Chicago Bulls at 7 p.m. CT Friday.

Holmgren is a late scratch due to a right hip contusion. He’s averaging career highs of 17.9 points and 8.9 rebounds this season on 55.2% shooting from the field (35.3% from deep).

OKC will also be without Brooks Barnhizer (G League two-way), Thomas Sorber (right ACL surgical recovery) and Nikola Topić (G League assignment). Backup big man Jaylin Williams should see an expanded role in Holmgren’s absence, among others.

OKC (57-16) is looking to rebound from a 119-109 road loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. That snapped the Thunder’s league-best winning streak of 12 games.
