After re-signing Kristaps Porzingis, De'Anthony Melton and Al Horford, the Golden State Warriors are bringing another piece back to town from the 2025 roster. After spending five games with the Warriors last season, the Warriors are re-signing Charles Bassey to a new one-year contract, per Shams Charania of ESPN.

Bassey joined the Warriors late in the season, after spending time with their G League affiliate in Santa Cruz. In his short stint with the Warriors, Bassey impressed, registering three games with 12 or more points and two double-doubles. In five games, Bassey averaged 10.6 points on 67.7% shooting from the field to go along with 7.2 boards and 1.4 blocks in 20.2 minutes per game.
Prior to joining the Warriors, Bassey played five games with the Boston Celtics, one game with the Philadelphia 76ers and two games with the Memphis Grizzlies. Bassey has also played for the San Antonio Spurs in his five-year NBA career.
With Quinten Post signing with the Memphis Grizzlies, the Warriors will have an opening in their frontcourt alongside Porzingis, Horford and Draymond Green. Bassey will have a chance to earn a spot in the rotation behind Golden State's veteran trio in the frontcourt.
