Charles Bassey's tenure with the Golden State Warriors has gotten off to a positive start. With Kristaps Porzingis, Quinten Post and Al Horford all dealing with injuries, Bassey has brought a much-needed spark to the Warriors' front court.

In his third game in Golden State on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, Bassey posted his second consecutive double-double performance off the bench. In 30 minutes against the Lakers, Bassey helped lead Golden State's second unit with 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field to go along with 13 rebounds. Bassey added two blocks and an assist in Golden State's 119-103 loss to the Lakers on Thursday night at Chase Center.

Bassey previously recorded 14 points and 12 boards in Golden State's 110-105 win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night in San Francisco.

In three games with the Warriors, the 25-year-old big man is averaging 10.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per contest.

On April 5, the Warriors signed Bassey. Bassey previously spent time with the Santa Cruz Warriors and Delaware Blue Coats in the G League. Bassey has also suited up for the Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies and Philadelphia 76ers during the 2025-26 season.

Bassey was drafted by the Sixers in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft. Along with the Sixers, Grizzlies, Celtics and Warriors, Bassey has played for the San Antonio Spurs in his four-year career.

Bassey will have another chance to impress when the Warriors meet the Sacramento Kings again on Friday night for the second-to-last game of the 2025-26 regular season.
