Mike McDaniel was a candidate for the Ravens' offensive coordinator job, but will now relocate to Sunny Southern California after being named the Chargers' offensive coordinator on Monday. The Dolphins finished 7-10 this season, and after getting fired, McDaniel immediately had a growing list of suitors for his services as a head coach or an offensive coordinator.

McDaniel and former Giants head coach Brian Daboll were at the top of the Eagles' list of OC Candidates. Daboll interviewed on Tuesday, while McDaniel appears to be off the board.

Hired away from the 49ers as a relative unknown in 2022, McDaniel immediately delivered back-to-back playoff appearances in his first two seasons with the team. After ranking sixth overall offensively in his first year, the Dolphins were No. 1 in total offense and passing offense in 2023.

In 2025, Miami started the season 1-6, then won five of its next six games and had hopes of a playoff appearance, but the Dolphins collapsed down the stretch, going 1-3 over their last four games.
