Mike McDaniel was a candidate for the Ravens' offensive coordinator job, but will now relocate to Sunny Southern California after being named the Chargers' offensive coordinator on Monday.
The Dolphins finished 7-10 this season, and after getting fired, McDaniel immediately had a growing list of suitors for his services as a head coach or an offensive coordinator. The Ravens hired Jesse Minter as head coach and will now begin the search for an offensive coordinator.
Hired away from the 49ers as a relative unknown in 2022, McDaniel immediately delivered back-to-back playoff appearances in his first two seasons with the team. After ranking sixth overall offensively in his first year, the Dolphins were No. 1 in total offense and passing offense in 2023.
In 2025, Miami started the season 1-6, then won five of its next six games and had hopes of a playoff appearance, but the Dolphins collapsed down the stretch, going 1-3 over their last four games.
