WORCESTER – Chad Tracy, who oversaw the recent winning streak of the Boston Red Sox, will return to Polar Park Thursday, July 23, for his induction into the WooSox Hall of Fame.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which gets underway at 6 p.m. There is no fee.

As the interim manager of the Boston Red Sox, Tracy guided his team to 15 straight victories before losing the second game of a double-header against Baltimore Wednesday, July 22, 5-1. A 6-3 Red Sox win in the opener gave the team a win streak that matched one achieved by Ted Williams and the 1946 Red Sox.
Tracy took over managerial duties in Boston earlier this season. He had been the skipper of the WooSox.

Tracy, along with WooSox president Dr. Charles Steinberg, the late Mark Fidrych [a Northborough native who was the American League Rookie of the Year 50 years ago] and the late Gene Zabinski [a Worcester civic leader who helped woo the WooSox to Worcester] make up the 2026 class of the WooSox Hall of Fame.
At 12:05 p.m. Thursday, July 23, the WooSox will take on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in a Triple-A matchup.
After the game, the Polar Park field crew will set up for the Hall of Fame ceremony. Fans will sit along the first base line.
