Boston Celtics general manager Brad Stevens made his assessment very bluntly after the season ended with a first-round exit.

"We have to get better," Stevens said.

The NBA Draft tips off on June 23, and Stevens' Celtics will have two top-40 selections. They are doing their due diligence in the pre-draft process. They have already worked out two top prospects and have set up dates to work out two more.

The first workout of the offseason was given to Andrej Stojaković out of Illinois.

Stojaković is a shooting guard who was listed at 6-foot-7 on the Fighting Illini roster, but measured in at just 6-foot-5 at the NBA Combine.

The most interesting portion of Stojaković's scouting profile is perhaps the NBA lineage he hails from. His father is Peja Stojaković, who had a more than 800-game NBA career, spanning from 1998 to 2011. He was a three-time All-Star and finished fourth in MVP voting in 2004.

Peja was a bit of a sharpshooter during his NBA career, but at 6-foot-10, Andrej's father had a height advantage that allowed him to knock down contested shots in the NBA.

Andrej did not profile as an elite shot maker or passer during his time with the Illini. He was not eager to shoot the three, but showed an ability to do so on more than one occasion.

It's hard to see the guard as a fit on Joe Mazzulla's Celtics, but who am I to argue with the two-time Executive of the Year Brad Stevens?
