Everyone's assuming Jaylen Brown wants a trade after the Boston Celticsfailed to swap him for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but what's the truth?

All signs point toward the Celtics moving Brown, one way or another, at some point this offseason. ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst on Thursday even said Boston fully intends to trade the star forward.

But none of that means that Brown wants to be traded. In fact, in a piece published Thursday, Brett Siegler of ClutchPoints reported that Brown still hadn't asked to be dealt.

"League sources close to the situation told ClutchPoints that Brown has not approached any member of the front office or team president Brad Stevens to ask for a trade," Siegler wrote.

At the end of the day, it's hard to envision Brown suiting up for the Celtics next season.

Several rumors indicate they could move him in a deal for New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III, an ascending player who turned 26 years old last week. Whether that would make Boston better than it was last season is up for debate.

Regardless, Brown's future will be one of the NBA's hottest storylines this offseason.
