Brian Anderson got his voice back.
Anderson was back on the call for CBS on Saturday, as play-by-play man for Michigan's 95-72 win over Saint Louis in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Buffalo, N.Y.
Anderson also will be on the mic for Saturday's Michigan State-Louisville game.
Anderson was under the weather and missed Thursday's four opening games in Buffalo, leading Tigers television play-by-play man Jason Benetti to pinch-hit for him at the last minute.
Thursday's games marked Benetti's television debut for the NCAA Tournament.
"There are a number of people who could have stepped in and done that job," Anderson said at the end of the Michigan broadcast Saturday. "There are very few who could have stepped in and done it as well as Jason Benetti, a trusted friend of mine."
Anderson was noticeably sick during Tuesday's First Four broadcast with Charles Barkley and Dick Vitale.
Benetti long has done regular-season college basketball games on TV, including this past season for Fox, and has called NCAA Tournament games on the radio.
He shifted back to the radio broadcasts for Saturday's games in Buffalo, calling the action for Westwood One.
NBC, which recently hired Benetti to be its lead play-by-play voice for "Sunday Night Baseball," loaned Benetti to CBS for Thursday's NCAA Tournament games, meaning Benetti now has called sports on all four major networks, a rarity in the business.
"A total honor to be part of the tournament," Benetti wrote on social media Friday.
Benetti, 43, makes his "Sunday Night Baseball" debut as part of the network's Opening Day kickoff coverage Thursday in Los Angeles, for the Dodgers-Arizona Diamondbacks game, before rejoining the Tigers.
Benetti will miss the Tigers' season opener in San Diego on Thursday, meaning Dan Dickerson will shift from radio to television and Greg Gania will work the radio. It'll be Gania's first major-league season opener.
This is Benetti's third season in the Tigers' TV booth. He is expected to call about 130 Tigers games on the new TV and streaming home of Tigers baseball, Detroit SportsNet.
