Agreed 100%. It’s really good for Beck’s development that we get the extra preseason game this year. It’s still preseason and I wouldn’t put too much stock into it since we’re not game planning heavily, but I’m hoping he gets some time against actual NFL players to get used to the speed. Defenses aren’t going to disguise much in preseason though, so be wary of him balling out and calling him the future too soon. We need real results in real games in the fall.
Agree and I added a key word

I think Beck will be garbage but the only thing that gives me a glimmer of hope is that he was a top college prospect and started for Georgia. So, he at least has some talent and pedigree. I mean he has a better NFL skill set than a guy like Purdy and if he's putting in the work, maybe, just maybe, the Cards get lucky.
I doubt it but at least it's good that he's putting in the time and effort and giving it his best shot.

My general rules for the offseason are good news is good but means little even though it is better than bad news.

beck can read the defenses - make the throws - but it's all about his head space - head space is why you can play like a god one day and a bum the next - idc if we're talking about football futbol basketball or golf

beck has the size - physical ability and muscle memory - and he's showing all the characteristics of being in the right place mentally

hall of fame game should tell us where his head's at

1% chance, but there's hope. Beck is working hard, and I hope he somehow makes in this league. It's tough on so many levels.

He’s on my ignore list. I couldn’t care less what he has to say about anything lol
He was pointing out that you made a false assertion when said Beck made two deep postseasons runs since that literally didn’t happen as Georgia lost in the first round of the 2024 playoff against ND and he didn’t even play in that game.

Fair enough. He did win the 2024 SEC Championship but missed the playoffs. I stand corrected.

i don't really remember what happened there. did he get benched or injured or something?

That is where he tore the UCL in his elbow. Then he had to go back into the game after the injury when his backup got blasted.

Obviously since he was injured he couldn't play in the CFP.

Rosen was cocky and delusional.

Beck seems more grounded and centered.

Rosen is a bad comp.
ATHENS — Carson Beck’s swagger is very real, to the extent Kirby Smart recognizes and understands the degree of value to it.

“He’s ‘Mr. Mellow’ out there; the guys in the locker room love him because he’s confident, calm and very smart,” Smart said in an exclusive interview granted to ESPN reporter Chris Low last week.

“Even though he’s got a little bit of arrogance to him, he’s not holier than thou like you see with some quarterbacks.”

###

ATHENS — Carson Beck said his decision to acquire a Lamborghini after his return to Georgia was negotiated is “not a big deal” in his opinion.

Beck, a projected 2025 NFL first-round draft pick and the Heisman Trophy co-favorite, said it’s as simple as his love of cars and isn’t too concerned about what critics might say.

“I love cars, and I got a car, that’s really all it is,” Beck said at Georgia’s opening spring football press conference on Tuesday, asked about having an exotic vehicle worth more than a quarter of a million dollars.
