I am thinking Lockett's was worse than Carr's. Carr was able to limp off on his own and Lockett's foot was dangling.

The game is brutal. 2 years ago we were in the same place, with Lindley at QB. I feel for the team, the fans though are another story.

What a God awful division. There is no way Indy keeps Pagano on another season. I know Luck has been iffy injurywise the past couple of seasons but with the talent they have there's no way they should be a .500 team. Especially in that division. Jags at east are a young up and coming team. So are the Titans.

I think the media, at times, are two hard on players in the NFL when it comes to their lack of eloquence. These are pseudo battle beasts, not scholars.

Point is, Brandon Merriweather said just this a few years back when hits to the head got into the rule book. I agree that hits to the head can be taken out of the game, but I also think the NFL has gone about it wrong, and now you have what we see today with the snapping of legs.

Blunt, and Savage, yes, but the man was right.

If you look at Carr's injury, there was no need for it. Just a sloppy play. The biggest P.O.S. thing the NFL does it not call "in the grasp". They have all these rules for QB's to "protect them" and the most effective one they never call for the sake of saving the potential of the big play off a broken tackle and scramble. "In the grasp" is just that, if you do not call it, then you get Derek Carr's situation.

Cannot have it both ways.

As for Lockett's injury........first off that sucked, I hope the young man gets better soon, but that was just a standard football play, and bad luck. REALLY bad luck.

No, we were in a worse place, believe it or not. If McGloin goes out to season-ending injury, THEN the Raiders will be in the same place. How bad is it that we were down to our 3rd QB--4th, really, but we skipped Logan Thomas on purpose lol

I think the Raiders will still be okay with McGloin at QB. They will probably run the ball some more but he has a good grasp of their offense and he is really a decent backup. I wouldn't mind seeing McGloin in Cardinal red next year. He is a FA after this season. Certainly better than Stanton in MHO.

There were folks in the game day thread hoping someone would get hurt. The kid went through almost 8 hours of surgery to repair his leg. It appear as though all went well and he should be ok, I never want to see anybody get hurt.

Must've been a compound fracture? 8 hour surgery on a leg break is pretty lengthy, so it must've been pretty bad

More snotty roster management. They spent a 4th round pick on a guy everyone here knew was dreadful. Didn't do anything with him all year while he was on the roster, and when they got down to him after the top two guys went out, they still didn't put him in but instead pulled in some guy off his couch at the end of the season. They wanted to 'protect' Thomas' delicate ego or something. Then, the next year, they gave him a cup of coffee and cut him immediately anyway.

This is a perfect example of why we go WTF! Keim and Arians do seem to have too many of these moments. Butler is another example. The handling of Christian. If Keim and Arians have a fault it's that they let emotions and personal feelings play too much into their decisions.

That sucks. It's a pretty classless thing to do. I didn't think we had any members like that here.
