He’s not an unrestricted free agent and it doesn’t sound like he was given permission by the Cards to speak to other teams.

The Cards really like Tyler Simpson and there are 3 other qbs that they could go after on Draft Day 2 to develop that were rated very high before the 2025 college season but slipped because of injuries, etc. Garett Nussmeier LSU, Carson Beck Miami, and Drew Allar of Penn State. Lots of time between now and the draft to workout these players but IMO Cards will take one of these in the draft.
Of course they will. Because next year is the draft to go after a QB, not this year. When people are seriously talking about Ty Simpson as the 2nd best QB in the draft that is a bad QB draft

Even 5 mil…just doesn’t make sense, why not sign a 1 mil guy? It’s obvious they’re not looking towards the postseason.
I mean are we looking to stay competitive if Brissett goes down? No!
Minshew makes 0 sense!
It’s a weak attempt to make it look like you’re getting a decent backup and appease the fans.
lol no fan is gonna be satisfied with minshew….might as well bring Palmer back

lol @ paying $5.75 mil for Minshew when we could have had Tua for $1.3 mil. Just the Cardinals being the Cardinals I guess.
Tua is a concussion away from tasting purple for the rest of his life. Dude needs to retire while he can still wipe his own bum hole.

Everything but cutting Murray is malpractice.

I'm done with the Cardinals after this dumb move. Was a die-hard Rams supporter as a kid and followed them to St Louis. Became a Cards support when Kurt Warner came to town. Great player and man. Going to support wherever Kyler lands. I will get joy in seeing him at his full potential. If we needed a joke as GM and hired a Monty might as well hired a Monty Python Group
Well good luck, we hardly knew ya...

No, I don't think it is.

No new head coach is going to intentionally try to tank. Actually there are damn few coaches that would agree to do that.
interesting-- can you provide thoughts on a team entering a season in the toughest division by far with JB and Minshew

to me its a veiled tank by a loser organization.
