Well this is MEH at it's best. Talk about grasping for straws. Great job Keim!

Better than doing nothing, Ellington isn't a RB, Kerwynn is only successful from the wildcat or with real blockers - so we have two old RBs now

The front office is desperate, this much is clear. Unfortunately this isn't going to fix the bozos we have running our defense or special teams and it's not going to fix our train wreck of an offensive line.

Good trade, and he's on a cheap 2 year deal. Not only can this help us now, for likely a cheap low round pick, he also can team with DJ when he comes back.

He wasn't used right in NO or Minn. We'll see how much he has left in the tank.

Now can we get some OL help?

Maybe New Orleans was a bad fit? If it works out and he resembles something of the past then its a proactive move and everyone will be praising Keim. If he continues to be a washed up dog as he showed with the Saints then its just a waste of a conditional high pick. Ive got zero problem with this move.

We've already seen he has nothing left in the tank check out the guys YPC over the last 3 years and come back and talk to me

Also, IIRC, Peterson prefers to run with a fullback to show him the way through the hole. We don't use a fullback — don't have one on the roster. Peterson prefers man/power schemes, and the Cards have historically run more of an outside/inside zone.

At least this provides some clarity over who is going to get the bulk of the carries.

2015 - 1,500 yards and 4.5/carry

He has only played in 7 games since 2015. Tough to say what he has left.

AD should be better until DJ comes back.

There is absolutely no basis in fact with this statement and it's wishful thinking at its finest he is no better than CJ2K at this point....

I mean I guess it shows the players that management is still interested in seeing the team win and isn't sitting on their hands.

You don't think the other players on the team know this guy's completely washed up? Come on now
