Unless some team is willing to give away a lot of picks to trade up for a qb, the top 5 are pretty equal.

DE Nick Bosa Ohio State
DT Ed Oliver Houston
DT Quinnen Williams Alabama
CB Greedy Williams LSU
DR Rashan Gary Michigan

Not exactly true, as it stands now both the Cards and 49ers have the same SOS but they each have 2 opponents that the other team didn’t play...if the “not common” opponents that we play lose more of their final 3 and the the not common opponents of the 49ers win more SOS swings in our favor. The last 3 games by the Skins & Falcons (for us) and the Bucs and Giants (for them) could be the determining factor.

In the end you will add the final records of the team’s remaining opponents. Both the Rams & Hawks will factor in the same records for the Cards & Niners. That makes it the Bears vs the Falcons. The Bears have 9 wins. Even if the Falcons win out they can’t get to nine. So their weaker record will add into the Niners. It’s just the math. There are too many variables to be certain with the Raiders.

Cards get 1st pick in 2nd round if current standings remain the same which is a bonus I guess

It would be a huge plus. Almost like a late first round pick.

It isn’t Bears versus Falcons as we both will have played the Bears. It’s is the records of the Bucs & Giants (currently they are a combined 10-16) versus the record of the Falcons and Redskins (also 10-16). Your math is wrong.

Niners & Raiders both have 2 home games left. They will both win another game. They are not nearly as inept as we are. They both have very good HC’s, we have garbage.

But don’t all of the games remaining for all of the teams each team played count? Not just the ones that were played as of the date the cardinals played? If that’s so then each of the Niners Cards and raiders have 39 games to play that get factored into end of year strength of schedule.

The Cards deserve the #1 pick. Hands down they're the worst team in the league.

Yep like I said in a previous post...the only teams that matter are the Bucs & Giants and the Skins and Falcons, as it stands now they have the exact same combined 10-16 record. So if our guys (Skins and Falcons) go 2-4 and the 49ers teams go 3-3 over their remaining games our SOS will be weaker and we will get the #1 pick (a win by us throws that all out the window).

I don't think we have to worry about that after seeing today's game.

Me either...of course I didn’t see us beating the Vikings the last game of 2003 either. We had nothing to play for and they had everything yet we inexplicably won...so you never know.

Teams we want to lose:

Atlanta: Cards*, @Carolina, @Tampa
Washington: @ Jax, @ Tenn, Philly

Teams we want to win:

Tampa: @Balt, @Dallas, Atlanta
NY Giants: Tenn, @Indy, Dallas

*of course, if ATL loses to the Cards and SF and Oak lose out, it doesn't matter.

I don't know how San Fran has been able to pull this off. I've been waiting for them to finally win a game already.

No generational OL prospects in this draft I guess? My favorite move would be trading down a few spots with a QB needy team. We can still grab a blue chip defensive player regardless of position. We need help at all levels anyway, be it DL, LB or DB. With the additional pick we get in this trade we draft best OL available.
