Why do you want him fired I can't wait to see him do so great that he becomes a head coach somewhere. Because that's means we're playing well?

Like I said in another thread. He's got one year to prove JG was holding him back, if not he'll be gone next year

Dude he’s been terrible as a DC for 3 years.

Last season was an abomination we kept him because no one else wanted this job.

This doesn't add up, because you gotta think Austin would have taken the job. I mean he accepted a lower level job with the cards.

That's not really true. The first two years our defense was generally considered to be playing way above it's talent. THere were a lot of social media analysts that talked about how much our defense did to confuse QBs with different looks.

Last year it played below where it should, but it did have a lot of injuries. Which is no real excuse as Rallis should have the next guys up ready.

If I had to guess I would think Austin will site between Rallis and the backfield coaches. He's always been a good DB coach and the Steelers always had excellent turnover diffs when he was there. Would make sense for him to essentially be the DB coordinator.

I don't think the Cards are giving up on Rallis but are helping him. Rallis is only 33 years old and the majority of his career was under Gannon. Austin is 61 and will provide mentorship to Rallis and also help HC LaFleur. It really rounds out the coaching staff.
