Austin was with the Steelers from 2019-25, serving as the team’s defensive coordinator from 2022-25. He previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions.
While the final season was rough, Austin had a top 10 scoring defense from 2022-2024 with the Steelers.
Austin has a history with the Cardinals as he served as defensive backs coach from 2007-2009, which includes their Super Bowl run.
