I am surprised the spread isn't higher given what transpired this weekend.

I think by friday it will be 7.

No way. It is almost unheard of a line moving 2.5 points like that. The odds makers are usually right on!

I see it hitting 5 before all is said and done (maybe 5.5). Early action will be on SEA then later in the week if.when the line moves action will start on the Cards.

AZCB34:

It would be, if the game were in Seattle. Oddsmakers are giving the Cardinals some credit for home field, based more on their supposed ability to function for four quarters in triple-digit heat, than on any chance of deafening noise levels making it hard for the Seahawks offense to operate.

I'd originally picked the Cards to win this game, but I'm having second thoughts. Seattle's defense looked far better on Sunday than Detroit's, in shutting down the Saints, and Hasselbeck will pick the Cards defense apart if he gets the time Harrington did. If I were putting money on this game, at 4-1/2, I'd bet on the Hawks to cover.

weather.com is predicting for our cooler weather to continue here. It should be right about 100 degrees at game time. Sunny though so it will be warmer on the field, maybe 105.

Welcome to ASFN by the way.

I thought I heard last week that the home team generally has a 3 point advantage (spread wise)....the reference was that if detroit and arizona were playing on a neutral site - it would have been a pickem game (instead of the lions being favored by 3 points)...or if the game was in arizona the cardinals would have been favored by 3 points...

It would've been pretty nice today. Maybe we'll catch a break Sunday.

More often that not, the heat doesn't seem to be much of a factor for opponents here. I thought it was in the Giants game last year, but we've taken some bad beatings the last 3-4 years in "hot" games at home.

intellicast.com has it at 99 degrees on Sunday with "abundant sunshine".

Is this the same SeaChicken from the 49ers board?
