G/C Anthony Steen? I thought he did well enough to stick on the 53 and now no PS either?

Shipley looks WAY better to me than Brittan Golden; better receiver and better returner. And a significant plus is Shipley's attitude and work ethic; whereas Golden appears to whine everytime he is on the field.

:twocents:

Yea, it's been like 2 days & I'm still mad about that.

I like the list. How many are we allowed to sign?

Glad Shipley, Brooks and KW made it through waivers.

Gives us some quality depth in case of injuries

I am very excited and relieved that Brooks, Crisp, Martin, Shipley, Kerwynn Williams (YES!), and McClain were signed.

I thought Crisp was injured, so that's great that he is available.

I think they took G McClain over Steen because they have 3 centers on the roster in Shipley, Sendlein and Larsen---and with Watford playing T, there is a need for depth at guard.

Very surprised Shipley was not claimed. That's a coup for the Cardinals that he wasn't.

I will predict that Gabe Martin, if he doesn't get promoted to the roster this year, will make the roster next year. He has the speed and range we need.

Also, I still believe K. Williams will be a factor as an inside the tackles runner and kickoff returner this season. He hits the holes faster and tougher than any of the RBs.

TE Brandon Bostick has a great opportunity here in AZ at a position of need. It would be so sweet if he had a chance to redeem himself for his on-side kick mistake. Seeing as that was against Seattle maybe there could be some karma coming ours and his way.

CBs Robert Nelson and Leon McFadden are quick nickel corners---which would allow Cariel Brooks to focus on RCB. Not sure they will stick with three---but for now they need to see if any of them are worthy to be called up when the time is right.

This practice squad is one of our better ones. I think we have 4-5 of these kids who have a great chance of playing for us this year.

Very pleased with that PS list. AMAZED Williams and Shipley were not picked up. Shipley see's the field this season and contributes.

Like how Brooks came on in the pre-season games.

Look earlier in this thread, I think. Someone posted a few things about him.
I did read that which wasn't much. Here it is.

Report DL Okoye 6'6, 307 (Croydon, England) Never played American football in high school or college. (SF 2013-2015) per MJ. Worked out recently for the Patriots.

Former Olympian and 49ers DL Lawrence Okoye, who worked out for the Patriots on Friday, signed to the Cardinals' practice squad, per source.

Okoye says he's always admired Calais Campbell.

I was hoping dreamcastrocks had some more info to add and possibly a link.

I really like Brooks, he needs to be on the 53 IMO...

Yes, Nickedglass! :D

Even if someone is put on pup or season ending IR, they can move up. My question is if someone ends up going on the pup list, they move a player up, then that injured player gets off the pup list, does that PS player that came up have to go through waivers again, or can he just be sent back down to the PS?

What happened to the practice squad players from last year? Were any of them in camp this year? Are any practice squad players from last year on the active roster this year? Just curious.

Golden and Kerwynn Williams were the only practice squad players of note last year (and Williams was not an original practice squad member I don't think). So, despite all the attention right now, it would be a surprise for a lot of these guys to make any noise in the regular season.
