Cardinals drafting and PFF rankings

last year the Cardinals drafted almost exclusively according to BPA per PFF rankings.... consequently, PFF ranked our draft last year as one of the strongest (at the time).

I'm seeing posts and threads about Keim being a terrible drafter and I've asked this question before but nobody touched it because it is almost impossible to answer: "How much influence do owner and coach have over Keim during the draft process?" nobody really knows and will never know. it probably ebbs and flows year to year.

Logic says Arians had more influence than KK does, just based off NFL experience/clout.

I'm VERY curious to see if we follow a PFF centric draft like we did last year. I honestly don't think thats a bad strategy to build a talented roster.

As useful as I think data science/machine learning are in many areas, I'm not sure people have realistic expectations as it pertains to the NFL.

In the area of player assessment, you can give small insights; nothing more, nothing less. I don't trust player grades as authoritative, all of them are contaminated with some form of internal bias.

The number of relevant and interconnected details/features/attributes surrounding a player is astronomical. Modeling all of them is impossible. Add to that the tiny dataset that is the NFL draft over the previous n years and you will have a model that is highly inaccurate.
