It clearly was. I don't understand officiating these days. Yeah there plenty of incompetence involved, but a play like that? Clearly they are intentionally letting stuff go that would have been called 100% of the time just a few years ago. Same with delay of game penalties. Clock goes to zero a few times in EVERY game without being called. It's as if the play clock is a "suggestion" to get the play off eventually. With the NFL so heavily involved directly in gambling now, I think this is a very disturbing trend. If anything games should be called by the letter of the rule, and blatantly incompetent refs should be banished. Nope.
