Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark showed on Friday night why she's still the greatest show on court.

Hearkening back to her sensational rookie season, Clark lobbed up a jaw-dropping 3-pointer from the edge of the midcourt logo in her team's home victory over the Golden State Valkyries. Right after, she started a trash-talking back-and-forth with Valkyries veteran guard Tiffany Hayes, firing up the moment even more.

The sequence is Clark at her best; she's capable of blowing the roof off the arena with a logo 3-pointer and follows it with the petty theatrics that makes for great television. Hayes fed off Clark's pettiness and threw it right back; it was a delightful showing of no sportsmanship whatsoever between two very talented players.

When it comes to Clark, the frenzied discourse is never going to calm down. Has she actually improved from her rookie season? Is she injury-prone? Is she really that good? Does she actually like her team and coaches? It's all largely hooey, and her 2026 season is reminding everyone why she entered the league with generational hype.

It's just one sequence, but it sums up so, so much of why Clark is still the main center of gravity in the WNBA.
